Save the Date! Mayerson JCC, AARP Free Tax Prep Registration Opens Jan. 8

As we begin a new year, it’s time to think about filing your taxes. This can be a confusing and time-consuming, not to mention expensive, task. The Mayerson JCC, however, can help those 50 and better file their 2017 tax returns. The J offers free Federal and State of Ohio tax assistance from American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) volunteers. The AARP tax preparers are trained and IRS-certified.

But you need to act now! To take advantage of this free service, you need to make an appointment – beginning Monday, January 8. Mark your calendar with a reminder to call for an appointment, as slots fill up quickly.

The AARP tax service will take place at the J on Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. from February 1 – March 29, 2018. This service is for taxpayers ages 50 and over.

Returns prepared by AARP volunteers are filed electronically. AARP tax assistance is by appointment only. For details or to schedule an appointment, call 513.761.7500, ext. 1218, beginning January 8. Reservations are required; walk-ins will not be accepted.
